How to Play

Objective

Be the first player to deplete your hand of all cards.

Number of Players

2 to 7 players, with 3 or more players recommended.

Card Values

Court cards (Jack, Queen, King) count for 11, 12, 13 points. The Ace is worth 15 points. Number cards have their face value as points.

Game play

  1. All cards are shuffled and dealt evenly among the players.
  2. The first player plays a card face up on the table, indicating the chosen suit. The other players must play a card of the same suit, if possible.
  3. If all players can follow suit, the trick is placed face down in a pile. The player who played the highest card of the suit in the trick takes the pile and adds it to their hand.
  4. If not all players can follow suit, the trick is interrupted, and all cards played in the trick are placed face down in a separate pile. The player who played the highest card of the suit in the trick takes the pile and adds it to their hand.
  5. The game continues in a clockwise direction, with each player playing a card to match the suit of the previous card or starting a new suit.
  6. The first player to discard all of their cards wins the round.
  7. The game continues until all players have played a set number of rounds. The player who wins first is declared the winner.
